Ferrari Limo Hire..

So you already know all about the newest addition to our fleet - the red Ferrari stretch limousine. And you may even know that it was converted from a Modena 360, but how much do you know about where the Ferrari limousine started out as an ordinary Modena 360?

Of course there is nothing ordinary about the Ferrari Modena 360. The Modena was actually the first model of the 360 to be shipped, and was named after the town of Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari. The Ferrari's six speed gear box was available ion manual, or as an F1 electrohydraulic shift. The first Modena 360 went into production in 1999, and was built until 2005. Production of the Modena was followed by the 360 Spider, and besides its weight, the Spider's specification match the Modena exactly.

The Ferrari Limo

The 360 range of Ferraris are mid engine, two seater sports cars - that is until someone with a unique vision carves one open and allows more than just two people to enjoy the Ferrari ride at a time. To build the 360, Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to create a completely new all aluminium space frame chassis, which was 40% stiffer than that of the 355 it replaced, and at the same time 28% lighter, even after a 10% overall increase in the dimensions.

In addition to the new frame, the Ferrari Modena 360 also received a new Pininfarina body styling which abandoned the sharp angles and flip up headlights common in the sports cars of the previous decade, and replaced them with ones of a more rounded appearance - reminiscent of the 1960s. While the new V8 engine of the 360 was only slightly larger than its predecessors, when coupled with the lighter framed and increased stiffness, performance was greatly improved.

So now you know from where our red Ferrari limousine has come from, and where it goes from here is up to you.
